Bonfire Night 2026 falls on Thursday 5 November. No Bromsgrove district organiser has published a date yet, and the rugby club normally announces in late September.

Bonfire Night 2026 falls on Thursday 5 November, which is awkward for organisers. Every large display in the Bromsgrove district is normally held on a Friday or a Saturday, so this year the likely nights are Saturday 31 October, Friday 6 November and Saturday 7 November.

As of 5 September 2026, not one organiser in the district has published a 2026 date. That is checked, not assumed, and the checks are set out below. Nothing has been cancelled either. The announcements simply have not been made yet, and on last year’s timing the first of them is about three weeks away.

A warning about search results. The old club site bromsgroverfc.co.uk is now a parked domain with a “this domain may be for sale” holding page, and it still ranks. The club’s real site is bromsgroverfc.com. Several listings sites also carry Bromsgrove Rugby Club times taken from 2018, when tickets were £5 and £3.

Bromsgrove Rugby Club, Finstall Park

This is the town’s biggest display and the one most people mean by “Bromsgrove fireworks”. The 2025 event ran on Friday 7 November at Bromsgrove Rugby Football Club, Finstall Road, B60 3DH, with gates at 5.30pm, the bonfire lit at 7.15pm and the fireworks at 7.45pm.

Prices in 2025 were £10 adults, £5 children and £25 for a family, plus a booking fee, sold through Skiddle. The club’s own listing was blunt about the one thing that catches people out: “TICKETS IN ADVANCE ONLY. THERE WILL BE NO TICKETS AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE ON THE GATE.”

The club’s standing conditions, from its own event page:

  • No parking on site or on Finstall Road. In the club’s words, “please leave the car at home!”
  • Limited disabled parking, blue badge shown on the night, and it must be booked in advance by emailing info@bromsgroverfc.com
  • No dogs
  • Strictly no sparklers, and bags are searched. The club’s reason is practical: the pitches are played on, so a dropped sparkler is an injury risk
  • No alcohol brought onto the premises
  • Under threes free, under sixteens with an adult
  • Bars are cashless, fairground rides take cash

Live music in both 2024 and 2025 came from the Ron Jeremy Band, with street food vendors and a funfair.

When to expect the 2026 announcement. The club posted its 2025 bonfire page on 24 September 2025 and put tickets on sale on 8 October 2025. If it repeats, the date lands in the last week of September.

Wythall Park

Wythall is in the Bromsgrove district despite the Birmingham postcode, and its display is the largest in the north of the patch. The 2025 event was Saturday 1 November at Wythall Park, Silver Street, B47 6LZ, with gates at 6pm, the bonfire at 6.30pm, a quieter display aimed at younger children at 7.30pm and the main display at 8.30pm.

Two displays in one night is unusual and worth knowing if you have a nervous child or a dog at home.

Tickets were tiered by how early you bought: £10 early bird, £12.50 from mid October, £15 in the final week, with children aged 10 and under free. As at Bromsgrove RFC, there were no tickets on the gate.

The association’s own page is direct about conditions. Silver Street is closed to everything except access between 5.30pm and 9.30pm, so there is no parking, and it tells people to “WEAR YOUR WELLIES” because the park gets muddy and the best views are from the grass.

Catshill

Catshill’s display is run by Catshill Community Events with 6th Bromsgrove Scouts, sponsored by Catshill and North Marlbrook Parish Council. It moved in 2024: the Bromsgrove Standard reported in September that year that Catshill Meadow no longer met the regulations for the size of crowd it was drawing, and the event shifted to land off Lingfield Walk, with gates at 5.30pm and advance tickets through Skiddle.

Catshill has no parish council website and no event website. Everything it publishes goes on Facebook, which is why this display is the hardest of the four to pin down.

Alvechurch

Alvechurch FC at Lye Meadow, 53 Redditch Road, B48 7RS held a fireworks and street food night on 5 November 2024, gates 5pm, display 7.30pm with a laser show, fire breathers, DJs, bars, craft stalls and funfair rides. Tickets were advance only and there was no parking at the ground.

The club’s own calendar for November 2026 carries no fireworks entry as things stand.

Getting there and parking

Not one of these venues has visitor parking. Bromsgrove RFC bans it outright on site and on Finstall Road, Wythall closes Silver Street, and Alvechurch says none at the ground. That pushes everyone onto residential streets or into town, so read parking in Bromsgrove first: every council car park gives 30 minutes free, charges run to 6pm including Sundays, and long stay is £6 in most of them.

Check Bromsgrove roadworks and travel before you set off as well. Old Birmingham Road at Lickey End is closed into November, and the A38 through town has nothing booked until 28 September.
