Avoncroft's 1940s weekend is 3 and 4 October and the free Halloween Light Trail is on the 31st. Bromsgrove events to 10 November, with times and prices.

The biggest weekend of the month comes first. Avoncroft Museum’s On the Home Front 1940s Weekend runs on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October, with a wartime dance on the Saturday night. The month ends with the council’s free Halloween Light Trail in Sanders Park on Saturday 31 October, from 5pm to 10pm.

In between, the Artrix has a show most nights and Bromsgrove Sporting play five home league matches. Half term brings family shows and kids-go-free days at Avoncroft. Wythall’s bonfire night is on Saturday 7 November, and tickets are cheapest until 9 October.

What is not listed yet

Some dates people ask about have not been published by their organisers:

  • Bromsgrove Rugby Club’s bonfire night at Finstall Park. The club had posted no 2026 announcement when we checked on 29 September. Our bonfire night page has the latest.
  • The Bromsgrove Christmas lights switch-on. The council has not named a date. Rubery’s is listed for Saturday 28 November, 3pm to 5.30pm, on New Road.
  • Remembrance Sunday, 8 November. We found no organiser’s listing for the town service, so it is not in the diary.
  • Bromsgrove Rugby Club fixtures. The club’s fixtures page still points to last season.

Getting there

The Artrix has its own car park on Slideslow Drive. Sanders Park and the High Street are a short walk apart, and our page on parking in Bromsgrove has the town car parks and tariffs. Check roadworks and travel before an evening drive, and train times if you are coming by rail.
