For Christmas Day around Bromsgrove, most people land on the Queens Head by the canal at Stoke Pound (£110 with a glass of English sparkling wine), Miller & Carter Marlbrook on Birmingham Road (£109.95) and Toby Carvery Bromsgrove (from £72.99). The lowest Christmas Day price here is £68.95 at the Old Hare and Hounds at Rednal. Every entry was checked against the venue’s own site on 2 November 2026.

Prices are per person. Christmas Day 2026 is a Friday, and at every pub here the Christmas Day set menu is the only menu that day.

Bromsgrove and Stoke Pound

1. The Queens Head, Stoke Pound

The Queens Head is a Fuller’s pub on Sugarbrook Lane, beside the Worcester and Birmingham Canal south of the town, which describes itself as a “canal-side country pub”. Its Christmas Day menu is £110 a head and starts with a glass of English sparkling wine and two canapés each.

Starters include prawn and queen scallop ravioli and a whipped chicken liver parfait; mains are British turkey breast, pan-roasted Cornish hake, fillet of British beef, or a wild mushroom, spinach and celeriac pithivier, with redcurrant trifle and Christmas pudding among the puddings. The children’s Christmas Day menu is £55.

The pub’s Christmas page says children are welcome and that booking is through its own site.

2. Toby Carvery Bromsgrove, Birmingham Road

Toby Carvery’s Bromsgrove restaurant is on Birmingham Road. Its Christmas Day menu, read from Toby’s own menu system, is “3 courses from £72.99”: the carvery with the day’s roast meats, help-yourself festive vegetables including sprouts, cheesy gratin potatoes and honey-glazed parsnips, and pigs in blankets, with a vegan carvery on request.

Toby asks for a £10 a head deposit for every guest booked on Christmas Day, whatever the party size, and full payment and a pre-order by 1 December. The FSA register lists Toby Carvery Bromsgrove as awaiting its first inspection, so it has no hygiene rating yet.

3. Miller & Carter Marlbrook, Birmingham Road

Miller & Carter is the steakhouse chain’s restaurant at 462 Birmingham Road, Marlbrook, on the way out of Bromsgrove towards the Lickey Hills. Its Christmas Day menu PDF gives the “Luxurious Christmas Day Menu” at £109.95 a head.

Mains include a turkey paupiette stuffed with pork, onion and apple and wrapped in prosciutto, a duo of duck and grilled black cod, with starters such as a duck, port and brandy parfait and a prawn and smoked salmon cocktail. The Young Guest set menu is from £49.95.

The booking page asks for a £10 a head deposit on all Christmas Day tables from 11.30am, with full payment and a pre-order by 1 December.

4. The Red Lion, Alvechurch

The Red Lion is a Vintage Inns pub on Red Lion Street in the middle of Alvechurch. Its Christmas Day menu is three courses for £97.95.

Starters include baked scallops, baked figs with blue cheese and prosciutto, and butternut squash and sage soup; mains are roast duck, pan-roasted monkfish, hand-carved turkey with a pig in blanket and stuffing, noisette of lamb, 50-day aged Black Angus beef or a truffled mushroom Wellington. The children’s Christmas Day menu is £41.50.

Vintage Inns takes a £10 a head deposit and wants full payment and a pre-order by 8 December; a 10% discretionary service charge applies to tables of seven or more.

5. The Barnt Green Inn, Kendal End Road

The Barnt Green Inn is a country pub and restaurant at 22 Kendal End Road, at the foot of the Lickey Hills. Its Christmas Day dinner is four courses for £110, or £54.95 on the children’s menu, served from 11.30am to 6pm.

Every main comes with roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots, sprouts, red cabbage and chestnuts; the choice is hand-carved turkey, braised ox cheek, pan-roasted halibut, a 21-day aged 7oz fillet steak, venison haunch steak or a sweet potato and chestnut roast. The pub’s booking information gives a £10 a head non-refundable deposit, with full payment and pre-orders by 8 December.

6. The Old Hare and Hounds, Rednal

The Old Hare and Hounds is an Ember Inns pub at 426 Lickey Road, on the Birmingham side of the Lickey Hills; it is inspected by Birmingham City Council rather than Bromsgrove. Its Christmas page gives Christmas Day at three courses for £68.95, or £34.50 for children, the lowest Christmas Day price in this guide.

Before Christmas the festive set menu is two courses for £21.49 (children £9.99), and Boxing Day is three courses for £30.95 (children £11.99). Ember takes a £10 a head deposit for every Christmas Day guest, with full payment and a pre-order by 1 December.

7. The Lyttelton Arms, Hagley

The Lyttelton Arms is a country pub and restaurant on Bromsgrove Road in Hagley, run on the same Christmas menu as the Barnt Green Inn. Its Christmas Day dinner is four courses for £115, the highest price in this guide, or £57.95 for children, served from 11.30am to 6pm.

Mains are hand-carved turkey, braised ox cheek, pan-roasted halibut, a 7oz fillet steak, venison haunch steak or a sweet potato and chestnut roast, and puddings include Christmas pudding with brandy sauce and a bourbon apple tatin. 8. The Swallows Nest, Romsley

The Swallows Nest is a Vintage Inns pub at 40 Bromsgrove Road, Romsley, below the Clent Hills. It serves the same Vintage Inns Christmas Day menu as the Red Lion at Alvechurch, but at a higher price band: three courses for £104.95, and £42.50 for children.

Mains include roast duck, monkfish, turkey, lamb, Black Angus beef and a vegan truffled mushroom Wellington. The deposit rules match the Red Lion’s: £10 a head, full payment and pre-order by 8 December, and a 10% discretionary service charge on tables of seven or more.
